Dualmet: Dualmet is a bimetallic wear tile made to withstand moderate impact with hardness over 700Bhn. The tile is designed so as to mechanically lock the fusion bond between a hi-chrome white iron and mild steel backing. Maximum thickness is 2".
Applications: any areas that have both severe abrasion and moderate impact.
Bimet plates: These bimetallic plates are similar to the Dualmet but the mild steel mechanical lock is also a casting and is suitable for severe impact and abrasion. Maximum thickness ranges is up to 7".
Applications: any areas that have both severe abrasion and severe impact. Ideal for areas that breakage is catastrophic to equipment.
PTA: Plasma Transfer Arc Technology is a repairable tungsten surface protection that outwears chromium carbide by a minimum 2 to 1 ratio. It is a proprietary plasma welding system featuring high accuracy and deposition speeds up to 3 times faster than conventional plasma equipment.
Applications: ground engaging equipment, slurry, crushing equipment and materials handling. Ideal for applications that do not suit overlay plate.
Trimay Overlay Plates: There is only one name when it comes to bulk chromium overlay plates and Trimay is it. The market leader with a submerged arc process that is number one in G65 wear test results. The plate is manufactured in North America to the toughest of specifications. Trimay offers a competitive overlay plate to suit any fabricated wear parts.
Applications: cyclones, chutes, hoppers and conveying equipment. Standard plate sizes: 4´ x 8´ or 5´ x 10´ with overall thickness up to 15/16" and hardness to 64 RC. The maximum operating temperatures are up to 750° C. Custom plates are available with double overlay on both sides, polished finish, customized thickness and modified metallurgy.
